JOHN BATT
 

John was at the founding of Batt Broadbent in 1964.  In 1999 his expertise in Commercial Property took a back seat when he helped lead the campaign to overturn the conviction of Sally Clark, the victim of one of the worst miscarriages of justice of our time.  He acts as a consultant in cases of false allegations on which he is a television, radio and media commentator. He has extensive experience as a chairman and governor of preparatory and public schools. He was a member of the Council of the Royal School of Church Music.

  John is a published composer, his tone poem Non-Stop was the signature tune of ITN for 25 years He has written extensively about the law, mainly as a co creator and writer for the television series “The Main Chance” and “Justice”. He is the author of three books, the latest being “Stolen Innocence”, the story of Sally Clark. John Batt was born in Salisbury and was a chorister at the Cathedral. His father and uncle were Mayors of the City.
