Older Clients
Some legal issues arise more for older clients than others, and on occasion may raise specific problems, such as failing capacity, or urgency due to ill-health. We always act as promptly as possible and are happy to see clients at home or in hospital or a care home if you have mobility issues (without extra charge, provided you live within a reasonable local distance from Salisbury). We can advise on these issues:
- Powers of attorney (creation and registration and advice for attorneys)
- Wills and codicils
- Inheritance tax planning
- Lifetime gifts
- Probate and estate administration and deeds of variation
- Living wills and advance directives
- Declarations of trust for jointly owned property
- Court of protection applications to appoint deputies/make statutory gifts or wills care
- Home fee and asset protection planning / deprivation of assets
- Care home contracts
- Equity release documents (but we are not authorised to select products for you)
- Trusts
The cost of many of these documents is charged on a fixed fee basis.
