Martin Short

Martin is an experienced Consultant Solicitor with extensive knowledge of agricultural, commercial and residential property law. Martin is a member of the Agricultural Law Association and the Ecclesiastical Law Society.

He specialises in all areas of agricultural property, including buying and selling farms, farm buildings and farmland. He has clients in Wiltshire, Hampshire, Somerset and further afield who look to him for advice on a wide range of issues. He has a particular interest in helping farming families plan for succession and changes in circumstance. Martin has contacts throughout the professional and banking sectors and is able to help clients secure finance for investment in the business or the purchase of additional land.

Martin also assists clients with the sale, purchase and letting of commercial land and buildings, as well as other land transactions including option agreements, conditional sale contracts, overage agreements, development contracts, deeds of easement, leases, licences and tenancy agreements.

In addition, Martin has an extensive knowledge of Ecclesiastical Law relating to land and property, and advises the Diocesan Registries of Salisbury and Winchester, Parochial Church Councils and Parish Councils on legal rights and legal issues.

Martin is married with three children and enjoys socialising with family and friends, exploring the countryside with his dog Amber, visiting National Trust properties and going to the cinema and theatre.
