Patricia joined Batt Broadbent in 2013 after a number of years spent working in the City for a US law firm and a magic circle firm. Formerly a partner and Head of Employment and Dispute Resolution at the firm, Patricia is the Deputy Diocesan Registrar for the Dioceses of Salisbury and Winchester.
Patricia provides strategic advice to the Bishops, their senior staff and clergy and laity in the parishes mainly in relation to contentious matters and risk management and in particular in respect of HR issues, data protection and safeguarding.
Patricia also acts for other Church of England dioceses, faith charities and schools and represents members of the clergy (outside of Salisbury and Winchester Dioceses) in cases brought against them under the Clergy Discipline Measure 2003, and in capability proceedings. She continues to assist the firm with employment law matters such as Employee Settlement Agreements.
