Conveyancing Solicitor
Location: Salisbury (office based)
Hours: Full time
Salary: Competitive, dependant on experience
Holidays:25 days + bank holidays (increasing with length of service)

You will manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions, delivering a smooth, efficient and client-focused conveyancing service from inception to completion.

Responsibilities
- Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and leasehold transactions.
- Conducting title checks, reviewing legal documentation, and identifying and resolving potential issues.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, lease agreements, and related property documents.
- Liaising effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements, including AML, SRA/CQS and lender requirements.
- Carrying out searches, Land Registry applications, and raising appropriate enquiries.
- Providing clear, practical legal advice to clients throughout the transaction.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case management records.
- Proactively managing risks, resolving issues and progressing matter efficiently.
- Managing client expectations and delivering an excellent standard of customer service.
- Supporting business development and client retention where appropriate
Skills and attributes
Core:
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive with over 3 years residential conveyancing experience.
- Proven ability to manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload independently.
- Strong knowledge of UK property law, Land Registry procedures, and mortgage lender requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience using conveyancing case management systems (Leap).
- A commitment to high-quality legal services and client care.
