Conveyancing Solicitor

Location: Salisbury (office based)

Hours: Full time

Salary: Competitive, dependant on experience 

Holidays:25 days + bank holidays (increasing with length of service)

Help us build something exceptional. Join our growing conveyancing team and play a key role in shaping a modern, client-focused department. You will manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions, delivering a smooth, efficient and client-focused conveyancing service from inception to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor, licensed conveyancer, or legal executive who thrives in a supportive, professional environment and takes pride in high-quality client care.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and leasehold transactions.
  • Conducting title checks, reviewing legal documentation, and identifying and resolving potential issues.
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, lease agreements, and related property documents.
  • Liaising effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements, including AML, SRA/CQS and lender requirements.
  • Carrying out searches, Land Registry applications, and raising appropriate enquiries.
  • Providing clear, practical legal advice to clients throughout the transaction.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case management records.
  • Proactively managing risks, resolving issues and progressing matter efficiently.
  • Managing client expectations and delivering an excellent standard of customer service.
  • Supporting business development and client retention where appropriate

Skills and attributes

Core:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive with over 3 years residential conveyancing experience.
  • Proven ability to manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload independently.
  • Strong knowledge of UK property law, Land Registry procedures, and mortgage lender requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using conveyancing case management systems (Leap).
  • A commitment to high-quality legal services and client care.

You will report directly to Andrew Hart, Head of the Property Department.
