Family Law Solicitors

OUR SERVICES

At Batt Broadbent, our Family Law Solicitors are here to guide you through every aspect of Family Law and the legal complexities of life.

We can assist and advise you in regard to relationship breakdowns, including separation, divorce and dissolution, arrangements for children, matrimonial finances, pre-marriage advice and agreements, post-marriage advice and agreements and almost everything in between.

Contact us today for a free initial 30 minute appointment. This gives you an opportunity to meet one of our experts to discuss the options available to you in your unique circumstances. Every family case is different and every family client is different too. Our bespoke approach will ensure that your voice is heard and that clear, conscientious and practical advice is given to you throughout your matter.

Do I need a solicitor to get divorced?

Since the introduction of No Fault divorce in 2022, many people now choose to complete the divorce process online themselves. HMCTS has streamlined this process and made it easier for individuals to do this. However, the online process gives no legal advice and it is vital that anyone going through a divorce understands the potential legal implications of doing so, especially in relation to finances. Our free initial 30-minute appointment is a great opportunity to consider these potential implications before applying for the divorce online. Don’t worry if you are already at this stage or beyond, we can advise you at any stage of your divorce, even once it has been finalised.

What can I expect at an initial appointment?

Once you have made an initial enquiry, one of our team will contact you to take some basic details, run a conflict check and book you an initial appointment with one of our experts. Our free 30 minute initial appointments can be arranged virtually by Zoom, by telephone or in person at one of our offices. During the appointment, you can expect a relaxed conversation with one of our family law experts about your current circumstances. You might find it helpful to bring a few bullet points about what you would like to discuss but this is not necessary.

During the appointment, your legal expert will listen to your concerns, take down some important information and ask you further questions to gain a good understanding of your position.

They will then be able to advise you on the legal options available to you and potential next steps for your consideration. Our free 30 minute initial appointments are no-obligation – we firmly believe that you need to choose the right legal expert to represent and advise you in your matter and that you need to be comfortable, open and honest with whomever you instruct.

We’re here to make your legal matters as stress-free as possible. Get in touch below or telephone 01722 411 141 to arrange your free 30-minute initial appointment.
