Susan joined Batt Broadbent in 2019 and is a Partner and Head of the Private Client department, based at the Salisbury office. She specialises in all aspects of Private Client work, including Probate and Estate Administration, and has extensive experience handling complex and high-net-worth estates. Susan also advises on a wide range of matters affecting elderly clients, such as Deputyship applications to the Court of Protection, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and the preparation of Wills and Trusts.
She has considerable experience acting as both attorney and deputy for clients who are unable to manage their own affairs, as well as supporting those undertaking these responsibilities themselves. Susan qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and brings over 20 years’ experience in the field, having previously practised in the North West of England before relocating to the New Forest. She also regularly delivers talks to carers’ groups on matters relating to Private Client law.
Outside of work, Susan enjoys Pilates and agility and scent training with her dog, Holly, who is often a welcome companion in the office.
